Lollapalooza-Chicago


Lollapalooza is a worldwide festival and has multi-generational appeal for Gen X, Millennials, and Gen Z. It is no surprise that 400,000 people on average attend the festival every year which has 4-6 stages for performances. It doesn’t matter if you’re in Berlin, São Paulo, Buenos Aires, Santiago, Stockholm, Paris, or Chicago, people come from around the world to attend this historical musical event located in Chicago's Grant Park during the summer.


You can find a diverse list of artists performing throughout the festival. For Gen X you can find the Foo Fighters, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Nine Inch Nails, and Rage Against the Machine. For the Millennials, you can find The Killers and The Strokes. Finally, for Gen Z you can easily just to go the festival and you’ll find many of your favorite artists or bands.


Last year in Chicago it was geared toward Gen Zs like Glass Animals, Don Toliver, Dua Lipa, J-Hope, Måneskin, and much much more. Although, it was mainly for Gen Zs, Metallica and Green Day performed at the music festival last year for the satisfaction of Gen Xers and Millenials.



Lollapalooza is not only just about the music, but you can also see beautiful sights where drinks are served, or go out to eat delicious festival food and sweets. They also have interactive areas with giveaways, merch, an art market, sponsor lounge parties, recharge stations, and autograph tents. Depending on the perks you buy, you can go to the Imperial Crane, deluxe lounges, get premium views of the six stages, and much more!


“...the coolest thing was that just out of the blue, a stage behind the bar would just open up and a band would be right there playing…” says a regular attendee at Lollapalooza Brazil, “The thing [the Crane] would get you a few hundred meters off the ground and they would serve drinks up there.”


If you are interested in going to Lollapalooza you can go to their website to buy tickets which will provide you with a hotel. Lollapalooza is a fun experience with friends and close ones, you won't regret it! Lollapalooza in Chicago this year will be held between August 3-6 in Grant Park. Headliners have also been announced.


According to Fox 32 Chicago " Headliners for the four-day music extravaganza include Kendrick Lamar, Billie Eilish, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Odesza, Lana Del Rey, Karol G, The 1975, and Tomorrow X Together.


In an announcement Tuesday, Lolla organizers announced the artists slated to play this year’s festival, running Aug. 3-6 in Grant Park. More than 170 acts are scheduled across nine stages. Festival hours are 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. each day. Food from more than 30 local vendors will be available. The festival merch tent will also return.

Also returning this year is the hugely popular Kidzapalooza, the "interactive music playground" on the festival grounds, with its own daily lineup of family-friendly performances, music and dance workshops and a whole lot of kids’ activities."
